Luke SmithSite Manager/Director

Luke joined Smith Construction Group in 2006. Career progression followed in 2009 when Smith Recycling (MK) Ltd established their presence locally following acquisition of a centralised new site for waste operations in Bleak Hall, Milton Keynes.

His achievement of the WAMITAB Operator Competence Award in Waste Resource Management qualified Luke as Site Manager to ensure smooth operations ensue in a busy yard, weighbridge office and picking-station. In addition the management of transport movements and planning daily collections and deliveries help maintain a speedy and efficient service essential for a positive brand image and client retention.

The company benefits from his involvement with the exploration of recycling processes and quality material produced to increase sales and reduce waste to landfill.

Paul UsherSales Manager

Paul joined Smith Recycling at the outset in 2009 from a plant industry background.

His managerial role has expanded to meet the needs of a new business and incorporates running a busy sales office which includes the responsibilities of Transport Manager for a growing fleet of modern skip lorries. Closely involved with cost management and marketing Paul has a pivotal role in maintaining client relationships and regularly exceeds sales targets. He is collaboratively involved in seeking opportunities for recycling material and investment in new technology.

Paul acquired the WAMITAB Operator Competence Award in Waste Resources Management and his role covers all aspects of the business as the need arises.
