FAQs

How do I order a skip?
Simply call one of our friendly team during our hours of operation. Or, complete our simple enquiry form right now and request an email or call back response.
How much notice do I need to give?
As much as you like!
Can I order aggregate materials at the same time?
Yes. You can arrange to have building materials delivered in your skip, which would be cost-effective to you and especially convenient if space is at a premium.
How long can I keep it for?
Not a problem. Let us know before the end of the hire period and we can either exchange the skip for another for a further 14 days, or arrange to extend the original hire period with the current skip. (These options will attract an additional charge).
What if I need it for longer?
Not a problem. Let us know before the end of the hire period and we can either exchange the skip for another for a further 14 days, or arrange to extend the original hire period with the current skip. (These options will attract an additional charge).
Is my waste recycled?
Yes! All skip waste is taken to our waste treatment facility in Milton Keynes where it is sorted and segregated into relevant waste streams to reduce waste going to landfill sites.
Do you work with both commercial and domestic clients?
Yes, we work with both commercial and domestic clients. If you are still unsure about anything, give us a call on 01908 394 231, and our friendly team will be happy to assist.
What size skip do I need?
It depends on your project and the type of waste it will produce. Please refer to our Skip Size Guide to assist you.
When and how do I pay for a skip?
All skip hire is paid for at the time of ordering. Our friendly team will take your payment details over the phone and accept all major debit and credit cards (with the exception of AMEX).
Can I open a trade account?
Yes. Commercial customers are invited to open a credit account subject to satisfactory criteria.
Where can the skip be placed?
Usually, it is placed as close as conveniently possible to your location, on land owned by you. If you anticipate any access problems or you have a preference, it’s best to discuss them with a team member at the point of ordering, so we can advise the driver before delivery.

As a rough guide, for a private driveway, we require approx 2.4 metres width for a standard 6 yard skip. It’s important to ensure that you own the land the skip will be placed on, or we can arrange a permit on your behalf from the relevant authority.
Do I need a road permit?
If the skip is to be placed on the public highway or footpath you will usually require a permit.

Permits cover a period of 14 days and we can usually arrange this on your behalf. Skips on the public road require signage and lights for safety reasons.
How do I protect my drive?
Our drivers are experienced and take all reasonable care to prevent damage to property.

However, some driveways that are tarmaced or block-paved can be vulnerable and we would advise that you place some level of protection on these surfaces before taking delivery of your skip.

Please be aware that once off the highway you agree to indemnify us for any damage that occurs whilst on your property.
What CAN I put in a skip?
All general waste is accepted, including builders waste, garden waste, wood, metal and plastic. The skip must not be overfilled but loaded level with top of the skip container for us to remove safely.

If you are at all unsure of what is acceptable, contact our team and they will be pleased to advise you.
What CAN'T I put in a skip?
We do not accept electrical appliances, paint cans, aerosols, gas canisters, tyres, fluorescent lighting tubes or asbestos, liquid waste or food.

In addition, plasterboard can no longer be disposed of in mixed waste skip containers due to changes to The Environmental Agency guidelines. When booking your skip container, please let us know if you are disposing of plasterboard products as there is an additional charge and we can ensure compliance. Read more here.
Can I dispose of plasterboard?
